Thé Noir 29 opens dark and dry. The first thing you smell is black tea — strong, slightly bitter, with a dry leafy texture, not sweet and not floral. It feels like loose tea leaves warmed by dry air.
Almost immediately, fig appears. Not creamy and not dessert-like — this is green fig skin with a soft fruity flesh underneath. It adds a gentle sweetness, but keeps everything restrained and elegant.
As the fragrance develops, tobacco leaf and dry woods come forward. The tobacco is not smoky-cigarette style — it smells like dried leaves, warm, slightly earthy, with a subtle shadowy depth. There is also a quiet woody backbone that keeps the scent grounded and serious.
In the drydown, Thé Noir 29 becomes smoother and warmer. Tea, fig, tobacco and soft musk blend into a dark, intimate skin scent. It feels calm, intellectual and slightly mysterious. Not loud, not sharp — just deep and quietly addictive.
This is a decanted fragrance transferred from an original bottle into a high-quality glass spray atomizer. Not affiliated with the brand.

Ruslan Sychevskyi I ordered this fragrance from Fragraverse to try it out. Before that, I wasn’t familiar with the Le Labo brand at all. I was genuinely impressed. The Noir 29 is simply incredible. The longevity is outstanding — I could still smell it for 2–3 days, especially on clothes where it lasts even longer. It’s a strong, warm, and cozy scent with notes of black tea, something slightly sweet, and a subtle hint of an expensive Cuban cigar. It has now become one of my favorite fragrances.
